By accessing or using DocGaze ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including document owners and document viewers.

2. Description of Service

DocGaze is a document analytics platform that allows users to upload documents, create trackable sharing links, and view engagement analytics including heatmaps, reading time, and AI insights. The Service includes free and paid subscription tiers.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents and content you upload to DocGaze. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share any content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DocGaze to:

• Upload or share illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Distribute malware or phishing documents
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited bulk communications
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and it will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

7. Document Viewer Tracking

When you share a document via DocGaze, viewers may be informed that engagement analytics are being collected. As a document owner, you are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws regarding the tracking of your recipients. DocGaze provides the tools; compliance with local regulations is your responsibility.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocGaze shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data or use.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
